It’s Mardi Gras season, Baby, and it’s time to prepare!

Can you hear that? The sounds of brass instruments? I hear the sharp trills of trumpets and the soothing sounds of a tenor sax. I hear the baritone sounds of a trombone and low sound of bass strings being plucked. I hear the sounds of jazz in the distance and it’s getting louder! I can see the flamboyant and fantastical floats coming over the horizon and beads being flung out to crowds of people. I smell delicious food and drinks pulling me towards it all!

Anyone who knows Mardi Gras knows that the holiday isn’t just celebrated on Fat Tuesday (Mardi Gras actually translates to fat Tuesday in French). Oh no! The celebrations start a month in advance. The beginning celebrations are small, consisting mainly of family-friendly parades, but it quickly turns into the craziest, most exciting party you’ve ever been to the starting Saturday before the big day itself. That Tuesday night, the crazy party amplifies ten-fold and you create some of the most cherished memories you will ever have with your friends.

New Orleans really is the end-all-be-all for Mardi Gras celebration. There is no other city in the Mardi Gras Bourbon Streetworld that comes alive like New Orleans on this fantastic holiday! The music, the food, the people, the energy, and the parades make the perfect atmosphere for a night out with your closest friends. New Orleans has more Mardi Gras parades than anywhere on the planet, as far as I know, and every single one of them is massive. You really should check out the New Orleans 2020 Mardi Gras parade schedule. Pick a day and go. Just a warning, the Bourbon Street rumors are true. The environment on Bourbon Street during the Mardi Gras celebration is not family-friendly.  That being said, Pot-O-Gold Rentals is proud to supply porta potties for New Orleans’ Mardi Gras celebration.

We all know that Fat Tuesday on Bourbon Street in New Orleans is the wildest place to be, but there are plenty of places where the holiday is celebrated in all of its hectic glory.

When people think of Mardi Gras, they never really think about Mobile, Alabama. It’s always Mardi Gras Mobile, ALNew Orleans and Bourbon Street. The people over in RV City would say that “them’s fighin words.” RV City is located under I-10, right next to Mobile Civic Center. People from all over, take their campers to RV City for weeks to celebrate Mardi Gras, Mobile style. The campground is walking distance to the parade routes, and a lot of these parades rival those in New Orleans. It really is a spectacle to behold. Mobile is having a lot of parades this year, starting Feb 7th. For more information on those, check out Mobile, Alabama’s Mardi Gras parade schedule. Pot-O-Gold Rentals is proud to supply porta potties for Mobile, Alabama’s Mardi Gras celebration. We have also serviced RV city for years.

Don’t sleep on Houston, TX when it comes good ol’ Fat Tuesday. While Houston doesn’t go the same route of celebration as New Orleans and Mobile, they still turn up. To my knowledge, Houston Creole Heritage Festivalthere is only one Mardi Gras parade that is held in Houston, and that is the Houston Creole Mardi Gras Parade. Since there is only one, they have no choice but to go big or go home! Don’t worry, they deliver. The parade will be held this weekend, Feb 1st. There is also the matter of the Houston Creole Heritage Festival. Houston has a very large creole population and some of the best creole food you can find outside of Louisiana. This festival brings live music, great food, and even better vibes. It’s definitely worth going. The Houston Creole Heritage Festival will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2020, at Midtown Park.

Pot-O-Gold Rentals has serviced these areas for years, providing porta potties and hand wash sinks. You know our customers are satisfied with our service because they come back to us every year! Are you holding an event for Mardi Gras? Give us a call at 888-768-6465.
